Finally! We were waiting a long time for this day to come. We worked very hard on the image recognition system, on the app usability, on the design… Now we are very proud of our child.
Dresscovery is a smartphone app that allows finding a fashion item you like using a picture. Let’s say you like the bag a celebrity is wearing and you would like to find something similar but cheaper. Dresscovery discovers the fashion for you and give you the option of buying it instantaneously. In the first version of the app you can find bags, but there will be any kind of garment. The app is available in Google Play for Android, you can download it here.
With Dresscovery, a user would find the purse if it is available in our database and they will be able to find its price. But even more importantly, with our Visual Search Engine, she would find very similar purses too and could choose (among the range of purses) the one more suited to her needs in relation to her purchase power thus matching all the factors or variables included in a purchase decision: beauty, price, reputation, brand, time, craving, etc.
Technologically, Dresscovery matches any picture of apparel or accessory with a large database of online brands stock.
It allows the user to buy the targeted object in the respective online store.
Right now we have a database of more than 10000 bags from hundreds of brands. You can find some of the brands on our web page.
Dresscovery is a strong name that shows the idea that we want to share. Using a smartphone you can discover the fashion you see on the street and you can get a similar and cheaper product. The way to buy fashion will never be the same.
